I found this report on the CalOES reports. Per the reporting party: A NASA aircraft detected a methane release emanating from an isolated gas well at the provided coordinates. This was discovered on September 15, 2025. The reporting party estimates the methane to be releasing at approximately 124 kg per hour. The location of this gas well is approximately 50 feet away from a residential community. Caller reported that this well is not on or near any oil fields or additional gas wells. It is unknown if this release is impacting the community. The gas well is owned by DD Natural Resources LLC, whom have not been contacted regarding this incident at the time of report. No known remedial actions have been taken and no updates have been provided to the reporting party since initial discovery on 09/15/25.

got notified on 15th about plume observation using a remote sensing technology on satellite. When plumes are found near communities they coordinate with CalOES. Informed about the plume on 17th and informed CalOES and they sent out a report 1hr later. CalGEM & AD were notified and went out for inspection on 9/17. Methane itself is not toxic but sometimes can be emitted with other health damaging emissions. AD issues 3 NOVS and got leaks fixed. For the last leak, a spare part was needed. By 9/19th all leaks were fixed. CARB’s satellite passed through the same area 10 days later that showed no signs of leaks.
